    The Future's Chili

I've seen the future. Stuff juniper berries, stuff fairtrade Rwandan coffee, stuff raspberries. The future is chilis.

Not your Cave Creek one chilli per bottle overkill, but a more subtle 100 chilis per nine gallon cask.

I went to Leicester Beer Festival yesterday; more of which another day, and thoroughly enjoyed the second such beer I've had from Atomic Brewery of Rugby. Atomic Firebox had just enough heat from the little peppers that your tastebuds were dancing an overjoyed spicy jig.

Truly delightful. I implore more brewers to brew with the little blighters.

Interesting. I love chilli heat but hate it when it is out of place (main example being chocolate - I just don't get it). I'd be interested to try a really decent chilli beer.

Cave Creek is truly horrible. If they've got the balance right I'd like to try it.

It wasn't bad at all. Having just had a curry, I failed to taste the chili in it. Could smell the burn later, though. Can't remember what the beer smelt like ;-)

Must disagree here - to me, chillis are amazing little things that work great in food and even chocolate (although I know others disagree with this!) but I've tried getting on for a dozen chilli beers now and, to my mind, beer and chilli just doesn't work. The chilli messes up the tastebuds and it all tastes wrong...

I've never tried a chilli beer. My instinctive feeling is that it would be horrible, but if you like it, I'm sure there's something in the idea. I'll keep an eye out for a decent one on my travels.

Had a Chipotle porter, about 9% when in California a while back, was awesome.

Cave Creek is the nasties... only good for cooking and adding to chilli! and that's a big push!
