    Best Drink More Beer Then!

There's a water scare in Northamptonshire at the moment. Unhealthy levels of cryptosporidium have been found in a local reservoir, and this bug can lead to pretty serious diarrhoea. Both my village and workplace are in affected areas, and we are told we need to boil all our water before drinking it, cleaning our teeth, or even washing our dishes.

In my opinion, that sounds like a whole lot of work. I've got a garage full of beer, and there's plenty of good pubs around, so bugger the water; I'll have another beer.

I saw this story yesterday and thought you might be one of those poor sods scrambling for bottled water. And my thought process was exactly the same - stick to the beer instead! Could take weeks to clear up though, hope your liver's in good nick!

I've had the odd night on the beer in the past that's led to some "pretty serious diarrhoea", but I suspect not as bad as this little bug.
    Thank heavens for beer!

Much as I feel for Northampton's plight (especially sine the world's greatest living writer is in residence), it gives me an excuse to post the ad I designed for Galway Hooker last year when Galway was suffering the very same problem.

    Nice ad.

Who's the writer you're referring to?

I think I mentioned him here before: Alan Moore. Big guy. Beard. You've probably seen him around.
